the Magical Puppet Tree

Founded in 1992, The Magical Puppet Tree is a not-for -profit arts initiative inspired by artists, musicians, teachers and friends of the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School community in Harlemville, New York. Throughout the year, multicultural folk and fairy tales are portrayed in a variety of puppetry styles, celebrating the humor and wisdom of living story. Children of all ages delight in the beauty and magic as silk marionettes, hand felted animals and whimsical fairy folk greet the audience and bring performances that enrich community festival life.

Puppet shows, artistic activities, and educational workshops may be  brought to other venues throughout the northeast upon request. For more information, contact the Magical Puppet Tree’s founder and artistic director at jping@hawthornevalleyschool.org..
